Tragic Hospital Strike Claims Hundreds of Lives in Gaza

GAZA: In a tragic incident, Gaza's health ministry reported that a hospital in the Palestinian enclave was hit by an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday, leading to a significant loss of life. The exact number of casualties remains uncertain, with initial reports suggesting hundreds of people were killed. Israel, on the other hand, claimed that a Palestinian rocket barrage caused the explosion.

This hospital strike resulted in the highest death toll from a single incident during the ongoing violence in Gaza. The Palestinian Authority's health minister, Mai Alkaila, described it as a "massacre."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that "barbaric terrorists" in Gaza were responsible for the attack on the hospital, not Israel's military.

The hospital strike prompted condemnation from various countries, including Russia and the United Arab Emirates, who called for a UN Security Council meeting. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his horror at the incident and urged Hamas to release hostages immediately and called on Israel to allow unrestricted access for humanitarian aid to Gaza.

While the exact circumstances of the hospital strike and the number of casualties remain a matter of dispute, the incident has raised significant concerns and demands for accountability.

Hagari stated, "I don't know how many people were affected here, even. Nobody can verify it yet." Regarding the death count.
